We've found this Rex Pattern Series to be awesome, the most innovative and superior method of working with Reason's Rex Device yet.
A Pattern works just like a normal Rex Loop (you can change the tempo, etc.) but you have a clean front-end and the tail sustains!

As most of you know, loops are very restrictive. For a loop to sound truly seamless, both the beginning and end must match up. The front of the loop must also have the sustained sound of the end notes mixed with it. A pattern, on the other hand, has no such limitation... A Pattern has a pure front-end and the back-end sustains! This has been incredibly cool to work with.
PROSONIC'S REX PATTERNS SERIES has been recorded with the most excellent instrument sound quality we've heard in loops (check the free demos below). All patterns are recorded in 16-bit, 44-KHz format (full CD quality).
These Patterns are really great for composing music that shouldn't sound "loopy", or "computerized", and they have brought a new, and unfamiliar, level of creativity... We are very excited about this new age in Rex Pattern Programming and give this Series a 5-Star Gold Rating.

 IMPORTANT UPDATE!
MIDI patterns, phrases, and loops are FAR superior to rex. When we realized the potential of using MIDI over rex we practically stopped working with rex at all.
If you haven’t already worked with MIDI patterns we suggest you check 'em out. There are hundreds of free MIDI patterns for you to experiment with here:

These Patterns can only be used in software that reads rx2 files. Software like Propellerhead's Reason will do the trick.
The CD and jewel-case are provided free, as a means of shipping the Patterns to you. We recommend that you copy them to another media as soon as you get them.
